Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onion until the beef is no longer pink, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and frozen mixed vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Assembly
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the beef mixture into it, spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the beef layer.
- Arrange the tater tots evenly on top of the cheese.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
Serving
- Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before cutting into portions. Serve warm.
Notes
Tater Tot Casserole can be customized with different vegetables or proteins. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for 2-3 months.
