Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, add the ground beef and chopped onion. Cook over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink, about 6 to 8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the mixed vegetables and cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and spread the beef mixture evenly in the dish.
- Top the beef mixture with tater tots, covering the entire surface. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Baking
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving hot.
Notes
Tater Tot Casserole makes great leftovers; store in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
