Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray and line the bottom with parchment paper.
Mix Ingredients
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together the melted butter, vegetable oil, and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
- Mash the ripe bananas and stir them into the wet mixture.
- Gently stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until no dry spots remain.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, checking at the 50-minute mark for doneness with a skewer or toothpick.
- If browning too quickly, cover loosely with aluminum foil.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
