Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix Follow the package instructions for preparation.
  • 1 cup frosting (store-bought or homemade) Cream cheese or buttercream works best.
  • 1 package melted candy coating Use white or colored coating.
  • 12 sticks cake pop sticks Or alternative sticks like pretzel or lollipop sticks.
  • Sprinkles (optional) For decoration.

Method
 

Baking and Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven and bake the vanilla cake according to the instructions on the box. Once done, let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into fine bits in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Pour in the frosting and mix thoroughly until evenly combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into small balls, about one inch in diameter, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Freeze the cake balls for about 30 minutes.
Coating and Decorating
  1. While the cake pops are freezing, melt the candy coating according to the package instructions.
  2. Dip the end of each cake pop stick into the melted candy coating and insert it into the center of each cake ball.
  3. Dip each cake pop into the melted candy coating and let excess drip off.
  4. Sprinkle colorful toppings over the cake pops while the coating is still wet.
  5. Place the finished cake pops back on the baking sheet to set until the coating hardens.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them properly.
