Method
Preparation
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water, pat them dry with a paper towel, and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cleaned shrimp with chili powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat and let marinate for about 10 minutes.
Cooking
- Heat some olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
- While the shrimp cooks, warm the tortillas in a separate pan or microwave for 20-30 seconds.
Assembly
- Assemble the tacos by placing shredded cabbage on the warmed tortillas, followed by cooked shrimp, sliced avocado, and chopped cilantro.
- In a small bowl, mix lime juice into the sour cream and drizzle this zest over the assembled tacos.
Serving
- Serve the tacos immediately with extra lime wedges on the side.
Notes
For extra variation, try adding spicy salsa or jalapeƱos. Ensure you store leftovers properly: keep shrimp in an airtight container and tortillas separately.
