Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp
  • 1 lb large fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined Use fresh shrimp for best flavor.
  • 2 tsp chili powder Adjust based on heat preference.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For Assembling
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas Corn tortillas are gluten-free.
  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 Juice of 2 limes For the sauce and garnishing.
  • 1 whole avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped For garnishing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water, pat them dry with a paper towel, and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the cleaned shrimp with chili powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat and let marinate for about 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat some olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  2. While the shrimp cooks, warm the tortillas in a separate pan or microwave for 20-30 seconds.
Assembly
  1. Assemble the tacos by placing shredded cabbage on the warmed tortillas, followed by cooked shrimp, sliced avocado, and chopped cilantro.
  2. In a small bowl, mix lime juice into the sour cream and drizzle this zest over the assembled tacos.
Serving
  1. Serve the tacos immediately with extra lime wedges on the side.

Notes

For extra variation, try adding spicy salsa or jalapeƱos. Ensure you store leftovers properly: keep shrimp in an airtight container and tortillas separately.
