Ingredients
  

For the cake and cream
  • 1 box Devil's Food cake mix Follow package directions for preparation.
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk To drizzle over the cake.
  • 16 oz. whipped cream Store-bought or homemade.
  • 22 oz. caramel syrup For drizzling between layers.
For the toppings
  • 8 oz. Heath English Toffee Bits
  • 1 King-Sized Heath bar For crushing on top.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven and prepare the Devil's Food cake as per the instructions on the box. Once baked, let the cake cool completely on a rack.
  2. After the cake has cooled, cut it into 1 to 2-inch squares.
Assembling the Trifle
  1. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the cake squares, ensuring each piece is coated.
  2. Layer half of the drizzled cake squares in the bottom of a trifle bowl.
  3. Spread half of the whipped cream over the cake, drizzle with caramel syrup, and sprinkle half of the toffee bits.
  4. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients.
  5. Crush the King-Sized Heath bar and sprinkle the crushed pieces on top of the final layer.
Chilling
  1. Cover the trifle with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.
Serving
  1. Scoop portions into serving dishes and optionally garnish with additional whipped cream, caramel syrup, or extra toffee bits.

Notes

For best results, consume within two days. Avoid freezing the trifle as the textures may not hold up well.
