Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
Baking
- Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
- Place a dollop of the cream cheese mixture on top of each dough mound and swirl gently.
- Drizzle with salted caramel sauce.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, serve the cookies warm. You can also consider adding chocolate chips or nuts for a variation.
