Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 250 g Magerquark (low-fat quark)
  • 2 pieces Eier (eggs)
  • 50 g Honig oder Ahornsirup (honey or maple syrup)
  • 1 tsp Vanilleextrakt (vanilla extract)
Dry Ingredients
  • 100 g Haferflocken (oats)
  • 1 tsp Backpulver (baking powder)
  • 1 pinch Salz (salt)
  • cinnamon to taste Zimt (cinnamon)
For Frying
  • as needed Öl oder Butter (oil or butter) for frying

Method
 

Preparation of the Quark Mixture
  1. In a large bowl, combine the Magerquark, eggs, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Mixing Dry Ingredients
  1. In a separate bowl, mix the oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until there are no lumps.
Combining Mixtures
  1. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet quark mixture and stir until well combined.
Cooking
  1. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add a little oil or butter.
  2. Drop small portions of the batter into the pan, leaving space between them.
  3. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until edges look firm, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Remove from the pan and drain on a kitchen towel.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with your choice of toppings like fresh fruits, yogurt, nut butters, or extra honey/maple syrup.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat as needed.
