Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Pour the melted butter into the mashed bananas and mix well.
- Add granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Whisk until well combined.
- Gently fold in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cooling
- Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a special treat, serve with butter, cream cheese, or ice cream. Freezing banana bread is recommended for longer storage; wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and place in a freezer-safe bag.
