Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Slowly mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the cookies sit for 2 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For chewier cookies, use more brown sugar and bake for a shorter time. Avoid overmixing the dough.
