Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups cooked rice Choose white, brown, or jasmine rice.
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye) Choose your preferred cut.
  • 1 cup kimchi Fermented vegetables.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped For garnishing.
Marinade
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper Salt and pepper to taste Season according to preference.
Spicy Cream Sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste) Adjust for spice level.
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Marinate the steak for 15 to 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Grill or pan-sear the marinated steak over medium-high heat for about 4-6 minutes per side, or to your preferred doneness.
  2. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Making the Sauce
  1. Combine mayonnaise, gochujang, honey, and minced garlic in a bowl. Mix until well blended.
Assembly
  1. Place a serving of rice in each bowl, top with sliced steak, kimchi, and green onions.
  2. Drizzle the spicy cream sauce over the top.
Serving
  1. Serve the bowls immediately for the best flavor experience.

Notes

Consider garnishing with additional green onions or sesame seeds. Pair with Korean side dishes for a complete meal.
