  • 1/4 cup cornstarch Helps to give the chicken a nice crust.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For frying the chicken.
  • 1/4 cup honey Adjust for sweetness preference.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Can substitute with gluten-free soy sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil Adds a rich flavor to the sauce.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced Fresh ginger gives the best taste.
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds Used for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the diced chicken breast in a bowl and add the cornstarch. Toss until all pieces are coated evenly.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Cooking
  1. Add the coated chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Stir until well combined.
  3. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir together. Cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top before serving.

Notes

Serve over steamed rice or with your favorite vegetables. For added creativity, try serving in lettuce wraps.
