  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced Slice evenly for consistent cooking.
  • 1 can creamy soup (like cream of mushroom or chicken) Can substitute with cream of celery or cheesy soup.
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (like cheddar) Feel free to switch up the type of cheese.
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and season with salt and pepper for 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
  4. Spread half of the cooked ground beef over the potatoes.
  5. Pour half of the creamy soup over the beef.
  6. Add a layer of cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef, soup, and cheese.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  3. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with fresh greens, crusty bread, or garlic knots. For leftovers, store in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 2-3 months.
