  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until browned (7 to 10 minutes). Drain excess fat.
Layering
  1. In a baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
  2. Spread the cooked beef and onion mixture over the potatoes.
  3. Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the layers evenly.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  3. Cool for a few minutes before serving.
