Cooking
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and pour in a drizzle of olive oil.
- Add sliced onions and green bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for 3-5 minutes until tender.
- Push cooked vegetables to one side of the skillet and add ground beef on the empty side. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well for about 2 minutes.
- Lower heat and place slices of provolone cheese over the mixture. Cover with a lid and let cheese melt for 2-3 minutes.
- While cheese is melting, slice hoagie rolls lengthwise for easy filling.
- Once cheese has melted, fill each hoagie roll with the beef and vegetable mixture.
- Serve hot, optionally toasting the rolls before filling.
Notes
For optimal serving, warm the rolls and pair with cold drinks. Fresh ingredients yield the best taste.
