Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef Can be replaced with shredded chicken or vegetarian alternatives.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning Use a homemade blend if preferred.
  • 1 cup cooked white rice Leftover rice works well.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream For serving or adding inside the burrito.
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce Add more for extra cheesiness.
  • 1/4 cup chipotle sauce Adjust according to spice preference.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can mix with other cheese types.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella Optionally add more for extra cheesiness.
  • 4 large flour tortillas Whole wheat or spinach tortillas can be used.
  • to taste tbsp butter or oil For grilling the burritos.

Method

Cooking the Beef
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned for about 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Drain any excess grease and add the taco seasoning along with 1/4 cup of water. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.
Warming the Tortillas
  1. Warm the flour tortillas on a dry skillet for a few seconds on each side or wrap in a damp paper towel and microwave for about 20 seconds.
Assembling the Burrito
  1. On a flat surface, lay one warm tortilla. Add a layer of cooked rice, followed by seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, chipotle sauce, sour cream, cheddar, and mozzarella cheese.
  2. Fold in the sides and roll the tortilla tightly from the bottom to top, ensuring the filling stays inside.
Grilling the Burrito
  1. Preheat a clean skillet over medium heat and grease lightly with butter or oil. Sprinkle shredded cheese in the skillet, place the burrito seam-side down on top, and grill for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Carefully flip the burrito, adding more cheese if desired, and cook the other side for another 3 to 4 minutes.

Notes

Enjoy with extra sour cream and chipotle sauce for dipping. Customize with veggies, spices, or alternative proteins. Store wrapped in plastic wrap or foil.
