Ingredients
  

Casserole Base
  • 2 cans green beans, drained You can use fresh green beans if preferred.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Homemade soup can be used for better flavor.
  • 1/2 cup milk You can use plant-based milk for a vegan version.
Topping
  • 1 cup French fried onions Divided into 1/2 cup for mixing and 1/2 cup for topping.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and milk.
  3. Stir in 1/2 cup of French fried onions and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
Baking
  1. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of French fried onions on top and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley for added color. Consider serving with crusty bread or rice for a more filling meal.
