Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm and centers are still soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container. They can last up to a week at room temperature. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe bag for up to three months.
