Ingredients

Spaghetti Squash
  • 1 medium spaghetti squash
Butter and Garlic
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
Cheese and Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Place cut-side down on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the flesh is easily pierced with a fork.
Cooking
  1. While the squash is baking, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Once the squash is cooked, use a fork to scrape the insides and create spaghetti-like strands.
  3. Add the spaghetti squash to the skillet with garlic butter, toss in Parmesan cheese, and mix until well combined.
  4. Serve warm, garnished with parsley.

Notes

Make sure to scrape the squash strands gently to avoid mashing them. Adjust the garlic and Parmesan to suit your taste. For extra flavor, try adding cooked bacon or crushed red pepper flakes.
