  • 2 cans cans of peaches in syrup You may use fresh peaches if in season.
Biscuit Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour) Use gluten-free flour for a gluten-sensitive option.
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust sugar to taste, especially if peaches are very sweet.
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Consider adding for extra flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
For Serving
  • Ice cream or whipped cream Serve for a delightful pairing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt with a whisk.
  3. Stir in the melted butter and milk until just combined, taking care not to overmix.
  4. Open the canned peaches and drain slightly. Pour the peaches and syrup into a baking dish.
  5. Gently spoon the biscuit mixture over the peaches without spreading too much.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
  2. Once baked, let cool slightly before serving.
