- Boil water in a large pot and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes.
- In the last 2-3 minutes of cooking time, add the broccoli florets to the pot with the pasta.
- While the pasta and broccoli are cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, taking care not to burn it.
- Drain the pasta and broccoli once cooked, then add to the pan with the garlic.
- Toss everything together in the pan and add the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until it slightly melts.
- Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste before serving.
- Serve immediately, optionally garnishing with more Parmesan cheese.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat with a splash of water or olive oil to prevent sticking.
