  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillet Use fresh salmon for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Helps seasonings stick and adds flavor.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can be substituted with other cheeses like mozzarella or feta for variations.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Fresh lemon juice enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley Can be replaced with dill or basil if desired.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste Season generously.
  • Black pepper to taste Season generously.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Place the salmon fillet on the baking sheet with the skin side down.
  4. Drizzle the salmon with olive oil and lemon juice.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  6. Sprinkle the Parmesan mixture evenly over the salmon fillet.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through and the top is golden brown and crispy.
  2. Check if the salmon is done by using a fork; it should flake easily.
Serving
  1. Remove the salmon from the oven and serve immediately with sides such as steamed vegetables, rice, or salad.

Notes

Cool leftover salmon to room temperature and store in an airtight container. It will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
