Preparation
- In a saucepan, combine water and butter over medium heat until the butter is melted. Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Let the mixture cool for a few minutes, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Cooking
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Use a piping bag or a spoon to form small bite-sized pieces of the dough.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the churro bites inside in a single layer.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Coating
- In a bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon for coating.
- Roll the warm churro bites in the cinnamon-sugar mixture before serving.
Notes
Best served warm with chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, whipped cream, or ice cream. Store leftovers at room temperature for a day or refrigerate for 2-3 days. Reheat in the air fryer.
