Preparation
- Peel and slice the apples into wedges about 1/2 inch thick.
- Core and remove the seeds from the apple wedges.
- In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and the last with panko breadcrumbs mixed with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Coating
- Coat each apple wedge in flour, then in eggs, and finally roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
Cooking
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange the breaded apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, spraying them with cooking spray.
- Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture before serving.
Notes
Best enjoyed immediately. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the air fryer to restore crunchiness.
