Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and add minced garlic over low to medium heat. Do not allow it to boil.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle half of the cheeses on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream, and cheese.
- Dot the top with butter and season with salt and pepper.
Baking
- Bake for 1 hour, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Let the dish cool before storing leftovers. Cover tightly and refrigerate for up to three days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-30 minutes.
