Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 1 can crescent roll dough (8-count)
Filling
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened) Make sure it's completely softened for a smooth texture.
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup whole berry cranberry sauce
Optional Toppings
  • to taste chopped pecans or orange zest For added texture and flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Grease a mini muffin tin or line with paper liners.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Open the can of crescent roll dough, unroll it and cut each triangle in half.
  5. Press each piece of dough into the muffin cups, covering the bottom and edges.
  6. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese filling into each dough cup.
  7. Add another teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top of the cream cheese filling.
  8. If using, sprinkle chopped pecans or orange zest on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These bites can be decorated on a platter and served warm or at room temperature. They store well in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
