Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Use room temperature butter for better texture.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Mix-Ins
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Semi-sweet, dark, or milk chocolate chips can be used.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until combined. Avoid overmixing.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Enjoy warm, with milk, or as ice cream sandwiches. Store in an airtight container for freshness.
