Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
Baking
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
