  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch or all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
For the Crumble Topping

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 8 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chopped Granny Smith apples, granulated sugar or brown sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch or all-purpose flour, salt, and ground cinnamon. Mix until all the apples are coated.

  1. Remove the crumble from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  2. Serve directly from the baking dish, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
