Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring continuously until browned and fragrant.
- In a mixing bowl, combine browned butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and chocolate chunks.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
- Remove cookies and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or freeze cookies for up to three months.
