Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking soda. Set aside.
- In a larger bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the pure vanilla extract and large eggs until well combined and fluffy.
- Gradually blend the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until smooth.
- Gently stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of the cookie dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving space between each to allow for spreading.
Baking
- Place the cookie sheets in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh. For soft cookies, add a slice of bread to the container. Options for serving include with milk or ice cream.
