Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  3. In a mixing bowl, mash the three ripe bananas until smooth.
  4. Mix in 1/3 cup of melted butter with the mashed bananas.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of salt; stir into the banana mixture.
  6. Incorporate 3/4 cup of sugar, 1 large egg, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the mixture.
  7. Gently mix in 1 cup of all-purpose flour, being careful not to overmix.
  8. Fold in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.
  9. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  10. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm, toasted, or with toppings like butter, nut butter, or ice cream. Store at room temperature for a few days, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze for long-term storage.
