Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the three ripe bananas until smooth.
- Mix in 1/3 cup of melted butter with the mashed bananas.
- Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of salt; stir into the banana mixture.
- Incorporate 3/4 cup of sugar, 1 large egg, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the mixture.
- Gently mix in 1 cup of all-purpose flour, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
