Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces ripe bananas Best if brown or with dark spots
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • a pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Add more if desired for extra chocolatey flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Mix in the vegetable oil, sugar, and vanilla extract into the mashed bananas.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cooling
  1. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store the banana bread in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days, or refrigerate or freeze for longer storage. You can add nuts, dried fruits, or spices for variations.
