Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the egg, vanilla extract, and orange zest; mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips if using.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store in an airtight container. Can be frozen for up to three months. Consider adding nuts, coconut, or spices for variation.
