  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, and beat until smooth and creamy.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring carefully until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  8. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  9. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For the best texture, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Adjust baking time for personal preference of chewiness. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 4-5 days or freeze for up to three months.
