Preparation
- Cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente, drain, and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, over medium heat, brown the ground beef, adding your seasonings as it cooks until thoroughly cooked.
- Drain excess grease, then stir in pasta sauce and cubed cream cheese. Simmer on low until the cream cheese melts.
Assembly
- Gently fold in the cooked tortellini with the meat sauce mixture and spoon into the greased baking dish.
- Top the casserole with shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan cheese.
Baking
- Bake uncovered for about 20 minutes, then switch to broil for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with garlic bread, salad, or steamed vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2-3 months.
