Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a springform pan.
- Mix the brownie mix, vegetable oil, water, and one egg until smooth, and pour half into the springform pan.
- Bake the brownie layer for about 20 minutes until set.
Cheesecake Preparation
- Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, then mix in the sugar and vanilla extract.
- Add the eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.
Layering and Baking
- Remove the brownie layer from the oven and pour the cream cheese mixture over it.
- Drizzle caramel sauce on top of the cheesecake layer.
- Spoon the remaining brownie batter over the caramel and swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for an additional 30 to 35 minutes. The center should be set but may jiggle slightly.
Cooling
- Allow the cheesecake to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Serving
- Drizzle with extra caramel sauce and sprinkle with chocolate chips before serving.
- Cut into slices and enjoy!
