Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set this mixture aside.
- In a large bowl, use a mixer to cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, and beat well until combined.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Baking
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, leaving enough space between each cookie.
- Bake for about 9 to 11 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Serving
- Serve cookies warm with a glass of milk or as part of a dessert platter.
Notes
For best results, do not overmix after adding flour. You may chill the dough for 30 minutes for enhanced flavor.
