Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened) Make sure it's at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Mix-ins
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Feel free to use milk, dark, or white chocolate.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and baking soda.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until creamy.
  4. Add vanilla extract and eggs to the butter mixture, and mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and blend until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Line baking sheets with parchment paper, then drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the sheets, spacing them apart.
Baking
  1. Bake cookies in preheated oven for 9-11 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  2. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze cookies in a freezer-safe bag.
