Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and baking soda.
- In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until creamy.
- Add vanilla extract and eggs to the butter mixture, and mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and blend until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper, then drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the sheets, spacing them apart.
Baking
- Bake cookies in preheated oven for 9-11 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze cookies in a freezer-safe bag.
