Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Mix in the melted butter until combined.
- Add baking soda and salt, and mix in.
- Stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 4x8 inch loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

For variations, consider adding walnuts or chocolate chips. Store at room temperature for 1-2 days.
