Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs Add one at a time.
Mix-ins
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and the baking soda. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt together until creamy.
  4. Add vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture into the bowl, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the semisweet chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop large tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the centers remain soft.
  2. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking for enhanced flavor and texture.
