Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until well combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking pans, leaving space between each cookie.
Baking
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container. For longer storage, freeze cookies separated by parchment paper.
